Every year we celebrate World Environment Day on 5 June to raise awareness to protect the environment through various programmes and activities. This year Government of Sweden will host the World Environment Day 2022 programme in partnership UN Environment Programme (UNRP). The theme of World Environment Day 2022is “Only One Earth”. World Environment Day 2022 marks the 50th anniversary of the first united nations conference held in Stockhome in 1972, when UNEP was created and 5 June is designated as World Environment Day every year.

With three leadership dialogues, the conference will reflect the urgent need for action toward a healthy planet and all prosperity, achieving, sustainable and global recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic and sustainable development. Accelerate the implementation of the environmental aspects of the context of a decade of action. the conference will persuade the message and outcome of the event to convince the 50th anniversary of UNEP to be held in Nairobi in March 2022.
