The Immune System: The immune system produces the protein called antibody. Antibody helps to protect our body from potential threats such as bacteria, viruses etc. antibody signal our immune system to release chemicals to kill these threats. An antibody known as IgE or E mistaenly targets a protein found in the food as a threat. It can cause several chemical to be released the important chemical is Histamine.

Histamine: Histamine causes most of the symptoms that occurs during the allergic reaction. It causes small blood vessel to expand and the surrounding skin to become red and swell up. Histamine affects nerves in the skin causes itchiness. It also increasea the mucous produced in our nose lining which causes itching and burning sensation. In most food allergy is limited to certain parts of the body such as mouth, throat and skin.

NON-IgE-MEDIATED FOOD ALLERGY:

There is one more type of allergy that is known as Non-IgE-Mediated Food Allergy. It is caused by different cells in the immune system. It is inclosed with the skin and digestive system.
